I have just bought a course from a Scottish guy (I won’t hold that against him!) called Sean Donahue and was amazed!

I have tried video marketing with limited success in the past which was really frustrating as I knew some guys were making big bucks from it.

This course was absolutely jam packed with information and included everything I needed to get started right away.

I needed some advice on Video Marketing because I wanted to promote a specific CPA offer that was converting extremely well but I just couldn’t find enough traffic for it and was exploring every avenue I could to make as much money as possible from it before it ended.

I expected to be up and running within a few minutes but with the amount of detail this guy goes into it was impossible. (I even learned a browser trick that says me an hour a day just checking my accounts!)

Actually spending the time to read through the manual and watch all of the videos really paid off big time.

The first video that I made looks like something Spielberg would be proud of and it only took me 30 minutes.

The traffic from it is something else, tons of views from YouTube and I also got a front page ranking in Google for my main keyword giving me even more traffic.

This course does exactly what is says on the tin!

I have just heard about a new tool called SEOLINKPRO.

I never really talk about blackhat techniques to get search engine rankings but they do go on and this is one such tool I have come across.

It’s said that something really, really evil and powerful that will change the face of the Internet is going to be out soon - it’s called SEOLINKPRO and it’s a tool that is going to be released by Syndk8.

This tool will change the way people build links. From what I hear from Earl Grey (he’s barking mad but a great guy), the efforts put into the development of this tool are larger than probably any blackhat tool released before.

If you do not know syndk8, it is a popular black / grey hat forum run by Earl. Quite an amusing forum, containing lots of edgy humour as well as a lot of useful SEO information.

They have released a couple of link building tools in the past, and have just added a new one to their line up “SEOLINKPRO”.

Little is known about SEOLINKPRO at the moment, other than the fact that it will use social bookmarking sites to generate free backlinks for you.

The video of SEOLINKPRO contains very little useful information and is a bit tongue in cheek, either that or its just plain bad :-). However, I think that is just a teaser. Earl and Neek (the developer) are keeping a lid on things at the moment, but more details are sure to follow in the next 24 hours.

It remains to be seen how good this tool really is, I think it will be a few days before I can give the first reliable review of SEOLINKPRO, but it is certainly one to watch.

Once it is released I will be doing a full review and sharing my impressions so watch this spot.

There are a ton of things you can do right to increase your traffic to your website but nearly all of them take time and lots of it.

I have found the easiest way to get a ton of traffic to my sites is to publish a unique carefully crafted article on them then also publish that article to all the major article directories to gain those valuable backlinks.

I then take the RSS feed from each article and submit those to the RSS aggregators.

Then I would build a network of blogs all interlinked to give me valuable 3 way links back to my site, very helpful for increasing traffic.

I would also submit all of these feeds to the RSS directories as well.

Then I would submit my site and all of the sites in my blog network to all of the major social bookmarking sites.

I would then add another article and go through the whole process once again, rinse and repeat so to speak!

This used to take a massive amount of time until I discover BruteForceSEO. I signed up for this at the launch way back in Oct 2008, the first version was pretty buggy and only half of it worked but even the half that worked produced pretty amazing results!

Now the doors are opening for the re-launch of the third version, completely bug free!

This is a guide as to what you should do if you are considering setting up your own website. If you follow this guide before you use a web designer it will save you a lot of time and money.

Finding the right keywords is an art in it’s self, I personally use software called Market Samurai but I have used every other keyword tool that is on the market and for my needs I think it’s the best available or try Google’s

Keyword Tool.

Keywords will make or break your business, not just finding the right keywords but how you use them throughout your website and the content you produce.

Once upon a time (back in the good old days) you could get ranked high in the search engines for just about anything but as the search engines evolve so must you, the major search engines now use something called LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing).

What this basically means is that the search engines are starting to think more about what you really want, these days if you built a page around just one keyword you won’t rank as well in the search engines but if you build a page around that keyword then sprinkle in other relevant keywords then you will get a higher ranking, for example if I were to use the keyword ‘butcher’ then other words that come up in my research are ‘meat’, ‘chicken’ etc.

Competition Analysis

Next before I decided to use the term ‘butcher’ as my top level term I wanted to see how easy or difficult it would be for me to rank on the first page of Google’s search results because unless you are on the first page you are nowhere unless the market is huge and you have a lot of keywords in your mix.

I would regard this as an easy market to dominate, let me tell you why, its all to do with how you optimise your website (more about this later), in this example I looked at the top ten sites in Google’s search results for the term ‘butcher’ and there is only one of the sites that has a properly optimised website (the no1 site), that has the keyword ‘butcher’ is in the page title, in the URL, in the description and in the main headline on the page.

If I was to build a butcher site I would make sure my site was optimised, get at least 100 backlinks pointing to my main page and put some great relevant content on the site and from experience I would get to the first page in a matter of weeks.

Choosing the Right Domain Name

This to me is the really simple bit, some people agonise for ages over their choice of domain name.

It should contain your keyword or key phrase
No numbers in it.
.com is best unless you are going for a very specific geographical market, for instance if your market only exists in the UK then .co.uk is best.
If you can, get all the extensions like .com, .net, .org etc. if you are going large!
No hyphens unless it is a really good mix of your keywords, never more than three
Short as possible

I found the domain name ‘thebestbutcher.co.uk’ (available at the time of writing) in only a minute or two of searching, this domain also gives you an opportunity for branding, it doesn’t matter if you’re the ‘best’ or not, if you tell enough people you are and supply fantastic service and value they will believe you and then you soon will be! (As in ‘John is one of the top Search Engine Optimisation experts in the UK’) Mind you in my case it’s true!

Sometimes I have clients who have slightly more ego than commonsense and buy domain names with their name or company name in the URL, this is great if you are building a brand but not if you want to rank on the first page of Google for your keyword!

On Page Optimisation

On Page Optimisation is what is required to change a website itself to make it more likely to get higher rankings for a particular keyword (or set of keywords) in the search engines.

It includes such things as improving the page content, using keywords in page titles, using ALT tags for images (i.e. keywords in the text description for an image) and managing outgoing links.

As you build your pages your keyword phrase needs to correspond to that page, make sure the :
Page name
Page heading title
Page title meta tag
Page description meta tag
Page key word meta tag

all use the keyword phrase.

Website Hosting

Now you need somewhere to host your website (the place your website lives).

I use HostGator for one reason, they are fantastic, there is virtually no down time, the support is great and they offer value for money, I think they are the best on the market.

Under no circumstances use a free host, there are many reasons why not, just don’t do it!!!!

When you have all of these parts in place you now have the majority of the work done and are ready to get your site’s design work done.

This is just about the most powerful method I have ever used to gain top rankings so easily and quickly, it’s like taking candy off a baby!

I have always known what it takes to get to the top of the search engines for my keywords but with lofty goals comes a massive amount of work, so being the lazy sod I am I settled for keywords that are generally easier than the one’s I should have been going for!

Today I came across a guy I hadn’t heard from since the days of MetaWebs when we all made a fortune with Adsense sites, his name is Dave Kelly and to say he’s an SEO expert is really not doing the guy justice, he is out and out the best of the best when it comes to SEO.

He has brought out a blueprint called “The Ultimate Search Engine Loophole” which shows how to totally dominate the top search positions in MSN (everybody wants’ to dominate Google but there is a ton of traffic in MSN and it converts better!). This blueprint brought it all together for me it’s what I had been working all this time but not been able to produce it as a working model!

I will leave it up to your imagination what the lifestyle changes you could make with the revenue generated by having the top listings in any search engines for some of the hard to compete with search terms.

The total cost of his product is $114, $67 for the blueprint and $47 for the software which is an upsell but I would recommend getting it as it will say you so much work.
